- DOORTIME v1.30 - BullsEye Software!
- BullsEye BBS (519)836-6246
-
- DISCLAIMER
- ----------
- This program works perfectly on my system, but I will not be held responsible
- for any damage caused to your system or data by DoorTime. Having said that,
- the only files DoorTime writes to are the output files, so there is little
- chance of any damage occuring.
-
- INSTALLING
- ----------
- The installation of DoorTime couldn't be simpler.
- 1) Create a directory for the following files:
- DOORTIME.EXE
- DOORTIME.CFG
- All other files are optional.
- 2) Edit DOORTIME.CFG with the text editor of your choice. The configuration
- file is explained within the file itself. All lines beginning with a
- semi-colon (;) are commented lines that are ignored by DOORTIME.EXE.
- 3) Add all of the online games you want information gathered for. I find
- that the easiest way to do this with a recent version of DOS is:
- C:\RG\DOORTIME> DIR /B C:\RG\OLG\*.BAT >>DOORTIME.CFG
- This will add all of the batch files into the configuration file so you
- won't miss any. From here, remove any .BAT lines from the configuration
- file that you don't want there, and add in the descriptions immediately
- following each .BAT line. See the configuration file for details on
- where to add the description lines.
- 4) Run DOORTIME.EXE!
- 5) Make a command on your BBS to display the DOORTIME.ASC and DOORUSE.ASC
- files. These files contain Renegade colour codes, so ANSI users will see
- them in colour and ASCII users will see them in mono.
- 6) Send netmail to me or call my BBS to let me know that you're running
- one of my utilities! Comments, suggestions and bug reports are always
- welcome, too. See CONTACT.TXT for information.
-
- That's it! That's all there is to it!
-
- PROBLEMS
- --------
- This program has not been tested on a system running multiple nodes. It may
- work properly, it may not. Please let me know either way if you run a
- multiple node BBS!
-
- DONATIONWARE
- ------------
- This program isn't cripped in any way (down to crippleware authors!), but if
- you send me any amount of money ($5 or more though, preferably...) I'll
- happily customize a version of DOORTIME for you that can include any
- information you want and will take out any mention of my name, or if you're
- a programmer, I can send you the QBASIC source code.
-
- I know this isn't much, but I didn't want to cripple the program in any way.
- I'm hoping that at least a few people will throw a few bucks at me out of
- the goodness of their hearts... <g>
-
- With any amount of $20 or more, I'll consider it a donation that covers any
- utilities that I have written or will write in the future.
-
- Send money to (cheques should be made out to Ray Smith):

- FUTURE PLANS
- ------------
- Here are things I hope to implement in a future version:
- - Ability to process multiple batch files for one program if a game you
- run requires both a local and a remote batch file.
- - A third graph revealing which user plays each online game the most.
-
- FINAL WORD
- ----------
- I hope you find this program useful, and if you have any comments,
- suggestions or criticisms, please contact me at BullsEye BBS and let me know!
-
- I'm just aching for ideas to implement in version 2.00... <g>
-
- Enjoy!
